On April 2, 1957, an F3 tornado violently ripped through Oak Cliff. Its path of damage stretched from South Polk Street, through Winnetka Heights, into West Dallas and Arlington Park/Love Field. Ten people were killed and more than 200 were injured.

To mark the 60th anniversary of this devastating storm, the Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts and Chief Planner with the City of Dallas, Mark Doty, will present “Terror from the Sky,” a comprehensive account of one of the most remembered, yet overlooked, events in modern Dallas history.

Mark will place special emphasis on destruction that occurred throughout Oak Cliff, and our very own beloved neighborhood, Winnetka Heights.

Tickets are $15 for OCSFA members and $20 for non-members.
