Advice on Replacement Windows
I am interested in finding out other neighbor's experience getting replacement windows that met CA approval. What manufacturers/companies have they used, are they energy efficient?

Re: Advice on Replacement Windows
Hi Donna,
We recently had all of the windows replaced in our house and couldn't be happier. Our old windows were mostly plexiglass and putty.
We chose Jeld-Wen for the windows. They are all wood, double-hung and double-paned High-E. A friend in the neighborhood used Marvin wood windows, so there are a couple of choices. The new ones have to match the pattern of your existing windows (6-over-1, etc.).
Robert Macalik of the Energy Shop worked with us on the Jeld-Wen windows. His cell is 214-616-8133. We used Bob Moisan Remodeling to install them because we had to replace all the framing and everything because the windows were so bad. Moisan's office number is 214.342.8768.
Hope this helps.
