There are more than 600 houses in the Winnetka Heights neighborhood of Oak Cliff, which was platted in 1908 and designated a historic district in 1981. Since then, its homeowners have been diligently preserving the turn of the century architecture while also modernizing the interiors of their homes. The Holiday Home Tour is a rare opportunity to explore both aspects of these charming Craftsman homes up close and personal.

About Your Impact

The Holiday Home Tour is the Winnetka Heights Neighborhood Association’s hallmark fundraiser, raising capital to improve sidewalks, parks, street lamps, and more in the community that’s a short drive from downtown Dallas and only a few blocks from the renowned Bishop Arts District. The association is dedicated to preserving the neighborhood as an enduring symbol of early 20th Century life, while ensuring Winnetka Heights remains the most vibrant historic district in the city.

 

The fun begins at the Turner House.

Join us at the historic Turner House (401 N. Rosemont Ave.) to buy or pick-up tickets, receive your map, and bid on coveted silent auction items. From there, choose your own route to tour the homes.

  • The Winnetka Heights Holiday Home Tour is an annual community event and fundraiser where ticket holders can explore the interiors of six privately-owned historic Dallas homes (seven if you purchase a VIP ticket). Since being designated a historic district in 1981, Winnetka Heights home owners have been diligently preserving the turn of the century architecture while also modernizing the interiors of their homes. The Holiday Home Tour is a rare opportunity to explore both aspects of these charming Craftsman homes (plus their unique holiday decorating) up close and personal.

  • The 2024 tour will be on Saturday, December 14 from 12 – 6 p.m.

  • General admission tickets are $20 if purchased in advance, and $25 at the door the day-of the event. VIP tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door.   • The Holiday Home Tour is the Winnetka Heights Neighborhood Association’s hallmark fundraiser, raising capital to improve sidewalks, parks, street lamps, and more in the historic community.

  • To protect our neighbors' privacy, the addresses for the homes are not shared until the day of the Home Tour. Please check-in for the event at the Turner House (401 N. Rosemont Ave.) to receive your pamphlet, which includes the addresses of each home and a map with a recommended tour route.

  • Though Winnetka Heights is known for its walkability, you do not have to walk to the homes on the tour. Most street parking in Winnetka Heights is free, but please observe street signs for guidance when parking.

  • Please be respectful of our gracious hosts and leave your pets at home.

  • Yes, well-behaved children are welcome. Tickets are required for children 10 years old and up.
