Holiday Home Tour
The Holiday Home Tour is the Winnetka Heights Neighborhood Association’s hallmark fundraiser, raising capital to improve sidewalks, parks, street lamps, and more in the community that’s a short drive from downtown Dallas and only a few blocks from the renowned Bishop Arts District. The association is dedicated to preserving the neighborhood as an enduring symbol of early 20th Century life, while ensuring Winnetka Heights remains the most vibrant historic district in the city.
Frights in the Heights 2024
The WHNA announces our 2024 fall fundraiser and spooky spectacular, Frights in the Heights!
On the evening of Saturday, October 26, join us for a progressive cocktail party featuring themed drinks and snacks, along with a costume contest. The fun starts at 7:00 p.m. and will end around 11 p.m. Buy tickets here: https://www.winnetkaheights.org/shop/p/frights-in-the-heights-2024
If you purchase tickets, be sure to check your inbox for the starting home location. Tickets include snacks and beverages at each house. So, mark your calendars, start working on your costumes, and order your tickets today! Proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward neighborhood capital improvements like sidewalk repairs. This is an adults only event.
Winnetka Heights Paddle Palooza
Calling all current and wanna-be pickleball players! Our first Winnetka Heights Paddle Palooza will be on the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 12 at Kidd Springs Recreation Center (indoor). It will be divided into two sessions: 1) an event for new players. with basic instruction on the rules, strategy, some drills, and a mixer, and 2) a mixer for experienced players. National Night Out
Join your neighbors for family fun at National Night Out, held at Turner House (401 N. Rosemont Ave)! We believe that our neighborhood is safest when it has a strong community, and this annual celebration is an opportunity to strengthen bonds between neighbors and the civil servants who protect us. This year’s event will include:
Free pizza, soda and juice boxes
For ages 21+ attendees, frozen margaritas will be available
Visits from neighborhood police, fire, code officers, and NOCUPP
Get to explore a fire engine
Face painting, ball pit, and a bounce house
Bring some lawn chairs or a blanket and enjoy time on the Turner House lawn
This is a family-friendly event with free admission. RSVP is not required.
Annual Membership Meeting
We hope to see everyone at the Annual Membership meeting, where we will elect new association officers. We need a quorum of neighbors to host elections and approve the budget. Please make plans to attend!
